Elif Gündüzyeli leads The Nature Conservancy’s Renewable Energy Program in Europe, working to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy in a nature-positive way and shift to a low-carbon economy.

Prior to joining TNC, Elif worked at Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe, most recently as interim head of energy, coordinating energy policy and campaigns across Europe and developing the organisation’s vision on a Just Transition. Throughout her career she has focused on matching community- and rights-based “bottom-up” approaches with “top-down” political and institutional policies. She holds an MSc in environmental social sciences from the University of Kent.
