Barbara Cattrysse
Senior Advisor to Vice President, European Investment Bank (EIB)
Barbara Cattrysse is Senior Advisor to Vice Presidents of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg, the EU’s Climate Bank. Prior to that, she was Senior Legal Counsel at the EIB advising as in-house State aid lawyer on project finance, the design of financial instruments, and related policy developments. Barbara also worked 8 years at Directorate General Competition of the European Commission, as well as law firms, as competition lawyer. Barbara has an LLM from the University of London, King’s College London, an LLM from the University of Ghent in Belgium, and an Executive Master in Finance from the Solvay Business School in Belgium. She regularly speaks at events, in particular related to State aid, financial instruments, access to finance, developments banks, and has published on these subjects.
